![]() ![]() Of note, this literally just happened to me this past Monday, July 5th, 2021. My school uses UCertify and within the lessons, I used to be able to drag a section of text and copy into MSWord and now this does not work. pdf's won't let me use the drag/copy and then paste (I own the Adobe DC). MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports)Ĭannot Paste Screen Shots Into Any Application MacBook Pro 13Īfter I use my mouse to copy some lines of text, in certain applications, I cannot paste them into MSWord, Gmail, textpad, or other places I'd like to capture the information. Not sure if that's the root cause or if it's a red herring. I have tried Force-Quitting `pboard`, and restarting the computer - issue does not resolve.įYI this happened recently after upgrading to Mohave, 10.14.2, from High Sierra Previously. Now I must re-copy and pste almost everything 2-3 times to get it to finally work, and do it quickly by using the app-switcher/Tab-switching/window-switching keyboard shortcuts, as if I take too long the clipboard loses it's contents! The first time alway fails, even if I switch and paste quickly, I always have to do it twice at minimum. Then I try again - reselect the text, ⌘-C & ⌘-V and it works, but if I keep pasting, it stops pasting after ~3-4 tries. I can ⌘-C copy text in TextEdit, then ⌘-V and it shows the menu item being used ( menu blinks) but nothing gets pasted. ![]() I had the exact same problem! So, clearly the problem is with Mojave.Īnyone has an idea on how to make this work again?Ĭopy paste loses contents after a few seconds My copy/paste is broken, even within the same app. I figured maybe the app was too outdated, so I went on the app store and got a recent app which does the same thing "Cop圜lip". but it's just the OS not working with the app. I tried pasting in different apps, in case ONE app prevented such pasting. The items appear in it when I copy, but if I hit the paste button, nothing shows up. I still can copy and past using the keyboard shortcuts, but not the little menu app. So, for the past few days (weeks? I'm bad with time) I noticed it didn't work anymore. and you go on and copy something over it. Great for when you play around in a text, or when you're the type to forget you just copied something and haven't pasted it yet. Lets you keep a record of all you put on the clipboard (you might only keep 5 items, you might keep 100). I've been using a little app called ClipMenu for years. ![]()
